I have been doing YouTube since 2009. I started as a hobby to improve my communication skills, and I enjoy the games I like. Starting off with games like MLB 2K10 and so on, I find it absolutely amazing being able to talk and meet people that I never would have had a chance to meet any other way. It still amazes me after all this time that people still know the name and recall watching that content as they grew up.

Though sports gaming was where things got started, it was something that was challenging to keep doing. Many of the games remained static, with very few features added to the game, and it made content creation difficult. I quickly dabbled around with Arma 3 and discovered that the ability to tell stories was what I really liked to do. I invested time in creating that content and again engaging with fantastic people in a more collaborative type of environment, especially with milsim communities.

I recently started the Learning Military channel as part of a research project that I was doing with my master’s program. I wanted to study the military as an organization as I have always had an interest in topics related to national defense. Having primarily done gaming content on YouTube, tackling educational content was something that I looked forward to also in order to learn a new side of YouTube and again, connect with new people.
